The "realness" of the characters, the absolute soul and life that you have given them, makes David: The Warrior King one of the best I have read in a long time... I was touched, more than when reading this history of King David in the Bible, by the sincerity and honesty of the characters, I was also much more aware of what the Bible really wants to teach us with this: David did what God expected, what was right in His eyes, and God never forsake him. The life of King David has been a life of encouragement to many people and especially to leaders who battle with different strengths and weaknesses. King David’s life poses the challenge of courage, grace and disgrace. The way that David Ferreira portrays the different relationships in David’s life, makes for interesting and challenging reading. David: The Warrior King took me back thousands of years to the time of King David, Saul and Jonathan. I especially savored the descriptions of the culture of ancient Israel and how you brought to life the history of the Bible with realistic dialogue and skilful characterization. From the first page this Historical novel kept me glued and I finished reading the book on a plane from Sydney. I keep wondering what happens to Michal?
